At the age of 12, Tom started his first job running his own paper route, teaching him the value of hard work at an early age. Four years of collegiate sports and Captain his senior year taught Tom the value of teamwork and high-level competition. After graduating college, he took a sales position at a Fortune 500 Company. Three years later, he realized that he wanted to pursue his dream of building businesses. He began working in one of the family-owned businesses, where he embraced the value of treating others as extended family.
Tom served as President of Ritus Corporation (family-owned business) for 25 years, a company dedicated to developing and manufacturing complex rubber and plastic components for a multitude of critical applications. In 2020, the family elected to recapitalize Ritus with a private equity firm. Tom continued in his role for another 2 years to lead the transition plan. During that time, Tom was exposed to a higher level of strategic thinking and a strong team of advisors.

Tom is passionate about coaching and advising great people to unleash long-term value. He wants to put his expertise to work to help others and to explore new frontiers. He gets excited by meeting new people, the practice of getting better every day, and continually confronting new challenges. Tom is actively evaluating investment opportunities to grow Monarch Capital’s portfolio.
Tom is a long-standing member of YPO, a global leadership community of chief executives. In his free time, he likes to spend time with family and friends while enjoying the great outdoors. Tom’s favorite pastimes are barbecuing. and spending time anywhere in, on, or near the water in beautiful lake-spangled Wisconsin.
Tom earned his BS degree in Economics from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
